Superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s debut film Deewana clocked 29 years on Friday. The film was first of many for Shah Rukh who went on to become on of the most loved stars this country has ever had. On the special day, SRK took to his social media platforms to thank his fans for the overwhelming love he has received over the years.
Taking to Twitter, Shah Rukh Khan said, “Been working. Just saw the ‘overwhelmed ness’ of the lov of nearly 30 yrs u r showering on me here. Realised it’s more than half my life in the service of hoping to entertain u all. Will take out time tomorrow & share some love back personally. Thx needed to feel loved.”
Deewana came out in 1992 and also starred Divya Bharti, Rishi Kapoor and Alok Nath in pivotal roles. It was directed by debutanté Raj Kanwar. Deewana also garnered Shah Rukh Filmfare award for the Best Male Debut.
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh has been away from the silver screen for quite some time now. The actor was last seen in 2018 film Zero. He is next expected to be seen in Pathan. While SRK is yet to make an official announcement regarding the project, his co-star Deepika had revealed that the film will be an action-drama. Pathan also stars John Abraham in a pivotal role and also has a cameo of Salman Khan.
