The buzz surrounding Jawan reached a crescendo as the clock struck 10 am on Friday, marking the commencement of advance booking. Just a mere five hours later, at 3 pm, the film had already crossed a staggering 1.18 lakh tickets sold.
These ticket sales amounted to a whopping ₹4 crore, showcasing the immense anticipation among the audience.
Success in Both Hindi and Tamil Markets
Not only has Jawan captured the hearts of Hindi-speaking audiences, but its Tamil version has also struck a chord. Thanks to the star power of Tamil heavyweights like Atlee, Nayanthara, and Vijay Sethupathi, the advance booking for the Tamil version raked in between ₹15-20 lakh within the same timeframe.
Jawan Aims to Surpass its Predecessors
Comparisons are inevitable, and Jawan seems poised to follow in the footsteps of Shah Rukh Khan’s earlier release, Pathaan. The spy thriller Pathaan, released earlier this year, set a record by amassing ₹32 crore in advance bookings, the highest for any Hindi film. Jawan now has a target to chase, and with five more days of advance booking to go, the stage is set for an intriguing face-off between the two Shah Rukh Khan starrers.

Prior to its release, Jawan has already left an indelible mark online. The pre-release video of the film shattered all existing records for teasers and trailers in the Indian film industry. Garnering an astonishing 112 million views across all platforms within 24 hours, it has set a new standard for the industry to aspire to.
Jawan’s Exclusive Morning Show at Gaiety Galaxy Theatre
The anticipation surrounding Jawan doesn’t stop at the box office. The film is all set to create history at the iconic Gaiety Galaxy Theatre in Mumbai. The highly desired location is preparing for a special early morning 6:00 am show arranged by the Shah Rukh Khan Universe Fan Club, known as the largest fan club devoted to the famous actor. It is worth mentioning that this is not the first occasion where Shah Rukh Khan has left a mark in history at this venue. Earlier, Pathaan secured the coveted 9 a.m. show, a first in the theatre’s 51-year legacy.
