One of Charlie, who is a gangster and the second character, is of Guddu, who wants to live a simple life with his girlfriend. Shahid portrayed a totally different character from Jab We Met, Vivaah and Ishq Vishk and this character shocked his fans.
After a long gap, Shahid got another chance to challenge himself and play the character of Haider Meer in Vishal Bhardwaj’s Haidar, hindi adaptation of William Shakespeare’s drama. Shahid gained a lot of praise for his character in Haider and he also opened up in an interview that his ‘dark side’ helped him pull off the character. He showed the same energy in Udta Punjab when he played the role of cocaine addicted musician and Shahid portrayed it so well.
