Bollywood actor Shakti Kapoor’s son Siddhanth Kapoor was arrested along with four others for allegedly consuming drugs during a rave party in a city hotel, police said on Monday.
Acting on a tip-off, the police raided a hotel on MG Road in the city on Sunday night where a party was hosted.
Samples of people suspected of having consumed drugs were sent for medical tests and Siddhanth’s sample was among six that turned positive.
“It is confirmed that Bollywood actor Shakti Kapoor’s son Siddhant Kapoor took drugs. He tested positive for drugs in the blood test report. Hence, he has been brought to Ulsoor police station,” the Deputy Commissioner of Police Dr Bheemashankar S Guled told reporters.

Police said it was unclear whether they had consumed drugs at the hotel or had come to the party after taking drugs outside.
The police had unearthed drug abuse in a section of Kannada film industry in 2020. They had then arrested actors Ragini Dwivedi and Sanjjanaa Galrani and former minister late Jeevaraj Alva’s son Aditya Alva.
Interestingly, this is not the first time that the Siddhant Kapoor has been caught at rave parties. Back in 2008, it was reported that Siddhanth was among 240 people detained after the police raided a rave party in Mumbai.
They were released in the afternoon after medical examination and after their blood samples were collected and sent for forensic analysis.
