Shark Tank India Season 2: Tarun Bhargava and Vijay P. Sharma came to present their brand Proost Beer, which is an affordable premium beer brand. They impressed the sharks with their pitch and Tarun Bhargava shared that Vijay P. Sharma is his uncle (fufa ji). In the start of their pitch, Vijay P. Sharma talked about bold decisions in life and he gave the example of Peyush Bansal. He told that he did the same as Peyush and Tarun shared that he also took a bold decision of starting a beer brand in a traditional Indian family.
Shark Tank India Season 2: Amit Jain said ‘Aise Fufa Ji Sabko Milein’
Tarun said, “Isme mera saath diya mere fufa ji ne. Jinhone na hi meri family ko manaya balki mere business mein partner bhi ban gaye.” Amit Jain said, “Aise fufa ji sabko milein.” Pitcher said that he did engineering diploma in 90s and he got a job with the help of advertisement in the newspaper. He shared that he did job in different countries and he was global CEO of a famous company but he left the job and started Proost beer. They asked for 1 crore in the exchange of 0.75% equity in the company.
Sharks stepped out of the deal
Anupam Mittal asked the reason behind the name of the beer 69 and pitchers said that they wanted to be bold since the start of the company. They impressed the sharks with the revenue of the company and they shared that they have funds. Sharks stepped out of the deal because they thought that there are so many big players in the industry and they can scale even more than their company.
