Shark Tank India Season 2: Young Entrepreneurs Aaditya Fatehpuriya and Raghav Goyal came to present their jewelry brand Zillionaire. They impressed the Sharks with their products and design. Raghav and Aaditya pitched in a very unique style as they started their pitch with a rap and dance performance dedicated to their brand. The 19-year-old entrepreneurs asked for 50 lakhs for 5.2% and they shocked the Sharks with their age and Anupam Mittal praised them for making a successful brand at this age. However, Shark fight happened while locking the deal.
Shark Tank India Season 2: Namita Thapar says to Anupam ‘don’t stereotype’
During the pitch, Aaditya mentioned that they do production with the help of his father as his father deals in jewelry. Namita Thapar put herself out of the deal as she felt that their production quantity is very much and it’s risky to invest money in the company. Anupam Mittal started talking by saying, ‘Waise ek perception hai ki wealthy kids jo hote hain unme bhookh nahi hoti aage badhne ki lekin aap logo mein..’(There’s a reception that wealthy kids are not hungry to move ahead but you guys). Namita Thapar got that on her and she said ‘Yeh bekaar ke stereotypes hain aap yeh sab mat boliye wealthy kids ke baare mein.’ Anupam continued, ‘maine toh stereotypes ki baat hi nahi ki hai maine isliye bola ki ek perception hai.’ Namita replied, ‘Aap stereotype hi ban rahe ho. don’t stereotype.’
However, Peyush Bansal, Aman Gupta and Vineeta Singh gave a shared deal of 50 lakhs for 10% equity to the young entrepreneurs but Anupam Mittal locked the deal in 1 crore for 10% equity as he doubled the valuation of the company.
