Shark Tank India Season 2 Finale: Shark Tank India judge and co-founder of Sugar Cosmetics Vineeta Singh pitched for her brand Sugar with her husband Kaushik Mukherjee. Sugar disrupted India’s beauty and cosmetics market in 2016 and Vineeta Singh repeated that pitch of 2016 in the final episode of Shark Tank India Season 2. Peyush Bansal said, ‘don’t expect mercy today.’ They impressed the sharks with their pitch and vision. They asked for 1 crore in the exchange of 2 percent equity in the company.
Shark Tank India Season 2 Finale: Anupam Mittal slammed the pitchers
Anupam Mittal welcomed that and called them young entrepreneurs but Namita Thapar gave him hilarious reply as she said “acha acha aage badhiye.* They shared their love story that Kaushik was her junior and they both fell in love in college. Sharks asked them about the reason behind the valuation and pitchers told them about their last investment. Anupam Mittal said, “ye thodi waahiyat baat nahi hogai lekin seedha 50 crore. Aap ye sochiye risk kitna hai sirf 5 percent ki margin hai 75 lakhs ka sale hua hai. Saal ka 9 crore hogaya….koi growth hai ya bas ainvayi aagaye aap.” Kaushik defined the reason behind valuation but they did not satisfy sharks.
Anupam Mittal gave them first offer of 1 crore for 2% equity. Namita Thapar also gave them the same offer but Anupam joked, “aapko aspatal mein bechni hai lipstick?” Amit Jain and Aman Gupta also gave them same offer of Anupam but Peyush Bansal changed the game as he gave the offer of 5 crore for 5% but other sharks gave that offer after him and Peyush also joined the offer. However, this pitch and investment was a repeat version of Vineeta Singh and Kaushik Mukherjee’s pitch of 2016.
