Shark Tank India Season 3 is garnering a lot of attention among the audience because the show featured several innovative entrepreneurs. They bagged the deals from the sharks and promoted their brand on the show. Amidst all this, legal troubles have risen for the film as the Kashmiri Cricket Bat Association slammed the show and the producers of Shark Tank India, Tramboo Brothers with a 100 crore lawsuit over assertions made on the show during the episode which was broadcast on 30th January 2024.
Shark Tank India Season 3 Faces Legal Trouble
In an interview with Kashmir-based news outlet Kashmir Dot Com, a team from CBMAK, the acknowledged amalgam body of all cricket bat manufacturers in the Kashmir Valley, sharply refuted the Tramboo brothers’ assertion that they are the only producers of cricket bats made from Kashmir willow.
They expressed great concern over the claims made by the Tramboo brothers on “Shark Tank India,” claiming that they had misled the public and seriously harmed the businesses of their members.
They claim that the reputation of the entire indigenous Kashmiri bat-making industry has been damaged and that these falsehoods have caused a “severe jolt” in the sales of the bats made by their members.
“The bats manufactured by CBMAK members are highlighted for their superior quality, with various star cricketers endorsing and utilising them. This sets the stage for the association’s claims against Tramboo Sports. We express astonishment at the claims made by Tramboo Sports on the ‘Shark Tank India’ Season 3 episode dated 30th January 2024,” the delegation said.
The association submitted a legal notice
They claimed that the claims had disrupted the company’s supply and sales and misled consumers and buyers. The association presented itself as the defender of regional bat manufacturing and asserted the unwavering support of its members.
In addition, the Association has sent Sony Pictures Networks and Tramboo Sports a thorough legal notice through its legal representation, demanding an on-air apology within 15 days. In addition, the group has filed a lawsuit, requesting Rs 100 crore in damages for losses, mental distress, and other losses suffered by CBMAK.
