She Hulk Episode 1 review: What viewers should expect from the now streaming series

She Hulk Episode 1 Review: Tatiana Maslany, who played Jennifer Walters in Orphan Black, made her MCU debut as the titular character of Marvel’s new She-Hulk series this week. Jennifer proved that being green is much easier than anyone imagined in a light-hearted and humorous series premiere, already having a firm grasp on when she Hulks out.

The story is the pillar that supports the foundation of your creation, and the dialogue is the chain that connects them. A good writer understands that great dialogue between strong characters can mean the difference between a show lasting several seasons and one being cancelled before it even begins.

Episode 1 was jam-packed with MCU Easter eggs and revealed more about Avengers hero Bruce Banner’s life. Together, Bruce and Jennifer provided audiences with a more realistic depiction of what it means to be a Hulk, presenting two vastly different individuals who have had to deal with the effects of Gamma radiation in their own ways. Regardless, Jennifer Walters is currently one of the MCU’s most relatable characters, sharing her struggles as a modern-day woman, trying to do good in her own way, and asking all the right questions about previous Avengers.

The writers chose not to spend multiple episodes taking Walters through the same process that Bruce Banner went through to control his anger. Instead, the show decides to skip over this arc by explaining that Jennifer is already better at controlling her anger than Bruce because she works with men every day.

Bruce also revealed that Tony built his remote beach house for him, and Jen discovers a battered Iron Man helmet on display early in the episode, which Bruce keeps around to remember his friend.

Perhaps in the future, we’ll get the lighthearted fourth wall-breaking comedy series that this show was advertised to be, but for now, it’s just another example of why people are losing interest in Disney’s overall content offerings.
