These days, social media influencer Shivani Kumari is making waves on Bigg Boss OTT 3. Fans are loving her rustic language and playful personality. If you’re one of her admirers, today we bring you her heart-wrenching story of struggle and hardship that will tug at your heartstrings.
Early Life and Struggles in a Small Village
Shivani Kumari, currently a contestant on Bigg Boss OTT 3, hails from the small village of Ariyari in Uttar Pradesh. During a session at Josh Talks, Shivani shared the challenges she faced growing up. Born in 2001, her life took a tragic turn when her father passed away when she was just 1.5 years old. The family, consisting of her mother and four sisters, faced extreme poverty, often struggling to find food and living in a house with a leaking roof.
Education and Hard Work
Shivani attended a government school until the 8th grade and then managed to get herself admitted to a private school. However, she faced numerous difficulties, such as the lack of notebooks and pens. Her mother, who worked in a nursing home, earned only 500-600 rupees per month. To help support the family, Shivani worked in the fields and performed various household chores for others in exchange for food.
Passion for Dancing and Initial Challenges
Despite her interest in dancing, Shivani faced ridicule from those around her. She even went to the extent of washing dishes, sweeping floors, and washing clothes at a young age to help her family. At one point, she sold wheat to gather 7,000 rupees. Although her mother wanted her to use the money for school fees, Shivani chose to buy a smartphone to pursue her passion for making TikTok videos. With the help of friends, she learned how to use the phone, record videos, and post them online.
Breakthrough and Support
Shivani continued making dance videos for 3-4 years without much success. Villagers complained to her mother, who even broke her phone in frustration. After a two-month break, Shivani uploaded a video that went viral, garnering 15 million views overnight. Her first YouTube income was 20,000 rupees, and this marked a turning point. Her mother started supporting her endeavors, and with regular income, her family’s situation began to improve.
A Message of Hope
With these stirring words, Shivani wrapped up her tale: “Aap gareeb maroge nahi agar aapke andar laalsa hai kuch karne ki.” You will not die poor if you have the desire to achieve something.) Her path from doing dishes to competing brilliantly on Bigg Boss OTT 3 is incredibly motivating and demonstrates her tenacity and fortitude.
