The much-awaited horror-comedy sequel “Stree 2,” starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, now has a release date, Indian moviegoers are in for a surprise on Independence Day. ‘Khel Khel Mein’ starring Akshay Kumar and ‘Pushpa 2’ starring Allu Arjun, Singham Again starring Ajay Devgn will face off at the box office when Amar Kaushik’s film opens on August 15.

In an intriguing turn of events, “Stree 2″‘s producers decided to release the teaser for the movie in an unusual way. Rather than releasing the teaser on social media, they only showed it in cinemas. This action was deliberately scheduled to coincide with the premiere of “Munjya,” another Maddock Films horror-comedy set in the same fictional world as “Stree.”
