Actor Sonu Sood launched an app to finding job opportunities for the migrant workers.
Sonu came in LimeLight for his work during pandemic. Sonu helped migrants to reach their homes amid lockdown.
Now Sonu came out with a free online app called Pravasi rojgar. App will provide all the necessary information and connectivity to find jobs.
Pravasi rojgar app will launch on July 23. That online platform will give job opportunities from over 500 reputed companies related to various sector.
Including opportunities in construction, apparel, health care, engineering, automobiles, e-commerce, BPOs and logistic.
The service centres have been set up in seven cities- Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Coimbatore, Ahmedabad, and Thiruvananthapuram with 24 hour helpline.
Besides helping out migrants workers, Sood has also been actively supporting the frontline workers and corona warriors in these tough times. On July 16, he donated 25,000 face shields to the police personnel in Maharashtra, and state Home Minister Anil Deshmukh even thanked him for it.
Sonu earlier had announced that he would provide financial assistance to more than 400 families of migrant workers, who have been injured or have passed away due to Coronavirus.
‘Lot of thinking, planning and preparation have gone into designing this initiative over the last few months, in order to ensure that it is holistic and builds on the work already being done in the country.Extensive consultations have been held with top organisations that’re involved at the grassroots level in skilling and placing the youth below the poverty line, NGOs, philanthropic organisations, government functionaries, strategy consultants, technology start ups and above all the returned migrants whom I have helped,” Sood said in a statement.
