Actor Sonu Sood has tested positive for coronavirus. He took to social media to share the news with fans on Saturday, urging them to follow covid-19 protocol and not to worry.
He posted a picture that read: “Hi Everyone, this is to inform you that I have tested positive this morning for COVID-19. As a part of precautions, I have already quarantined myself & taking utmost care. But don’t worry this gives me ample time to solve your problems. Remember I’m always there for you all. — Sonu Sood.” He captioned the post as: “Stay safe Stay positive.”
The actor has tested positive for the novel virus weeks after taking first dose of coronavirus vaccine. The actor was recently appointed brand ambassador of Punjab’s Covid vaccination programme by Chief Minister Amarinder Singh.
He has been actively helping people facing various problem due to covid crisis. The actor has been sharing updates related to vaccination, treatment and availability of beds via twitter. He had recently provided as many as 10 oxygen generators to patients battling the deadly novel coronavirus in Indore. Last year, he helped thousands of migrants reach houses during lockdown and also provided e-rickshaws to the unemployed.
Several of his fans and people in need to help have written to him on social media and he, being his good samaritan self, has responded back with assistance.
