Tom Holland and Zendaya: Actor-couple Zendaya and Tom Holland who arrived in Mumbai for the first time ever on Thursday, have sparked rumours if they are looking for a wedding location in India. Social media is abuzz with the news after their pictures emerged online. Kerala Tourism shared a picture of the star couple on its offiicial Instagram handle after they were spotted together in Munnar. It wrote in the caption, ‘Guess who we spotted far away from home?’
However, as the picture seems to have been edited, fans were circumspect. Some of them were not willing to believe that Zendaya and Holland were actually in God’s own country.
One user wrote, ’Good April fool prank’. While another wrote, ‘It’s totally real. They were spotted at the Mumbai airport, and who knew they were en route to God’s own country.’
Holland has been open about his interest in India. During the promotion of his film Uncharted last year , he had said in an interview, “I am a big fan of India but as I said I never got a chance to go there. I would love to come to India someday to meet my Indian fans or maybe someday shoot a film there too. I would love to see every part of it including the Taj Mahal in India. Everything there is very beautiful. I am very keen to travel all over India.”
Tom and Zendaya arrive in Mumbai
Earlier on Thursday the couple arrived in Mumbai. They were seen exiting the Kalina Airport. In photos shared online, Zendaya is smiling while Tom is walking towards his car.
The Spider-Man stars sported casual outfits for the travel. Zendaya wore a white T-shirt, pants, and a black jacket. She wore glasses and also carried a bag. Tom Holland chose a pink T-shirt, blue denims, and a black jacket. He also had a backpack and wore a cap. Both of them got into the same car at the airport.
‘Scouting for wedding location?’
As soon as their pictures were shared online, fans started commenting. Reacting to a video on Instagram, a fan asked, “Are they in India scouting for wedding location?” A person wrote, “They have arrived in simple outfits.” “Spiderman is in India finally,” wrote another user.
According to reports, Zendaya and Tom arrived in Mumbai for the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre launch.
Recently, Zendaya sparked rumours when she flaunted a gold ring on her right index finger. It seemed it was engraved with her boyfriend Tom’s initials. Her nail artist Marina Dobyk posted a close-up video of Zendaya’s glossy pink manicure, that showed the ring. This triggered speculations.
Although the script initials appeared to be “TH” for Tom’s name, others on social media argued that it looks like “ZH,” a combination of her first and his last initial, according to reports. Reports also said that Zendaya and Tom “started seeing each other” while shooting Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2016. This was their first movie together in the Marvel trilogy.
“They’ve been super careful to keep it private and out of the public eye but they’ve gone on vacations with each other and try and spend as much time as possible with one another,” an insider said as per the report.
Make relationship official
The pair made their relationship official on Instagram in September 2021 with a behind-the-scenes photo in which Holland calls her “My MJ” as part of a birthday tribute.
Earlier this year, Zendaya bagged the award for Best Actress in a Drama Series for Euphoria at the 28th Critics’ Choice Award. For portraying Rue in Euphoria, Zendaya has already bagged two Emmy Awards (2020, 2022).
She made history in 2020 by becoming the youngest lead actress drama winner (24 at that time), and only the second-ever Black woman to win the category in the Emmy, following Viola Davis for How to Get Away With Murder.
