Oh Yeong Su: Squid Game actor Oh Yeong Su has been accused of sexual misconduct for touching a woman inappropriately. The 78-year old was later released without any detention. Reports said he committed the crime in 2017.

According reports, a woman filed her complaint in December 2021 and though the case was shut in April, the woman requested to reopen it.

Su rejects charge
However, Oh Yeong Su has rejected the charges during investigation. He told the prosecutors, “I just held her hand to guide the way around the lake. I apologized because she said she wouldn’t make a fuss about it but it doesn’t mean that I admit the charges.”
Oh Yeong Su is one of the most popular actors in South Korea. His popularity skyrocketed after the Netflix web series Squid Game was released in 2021.

A prolific actor
Yeong Su was born in 1944 in Kaesong, which is now a part of North Korea. He has acted in over 200 stage plays, including the popular Korean adaptation of A Streetcar named Desire. He also appeared in several shows and films, such as Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter…and Spring, A Little Monk and Soul Guardians.
Besides Squid Game, he also appeared in drama series like Chocolate, god of War, The Great Queen Seondeok and Moon River.
Squid Game is his most popular act. The show also starred Lee Jung Jae, Park Hae Soo, Lee Byung Hun, Lee Ji Ha, Anupam Tripathi among others.
For Squid Game Yeong Su won a Golden Globe Award in the category of The Best Supporting Actor. He also had an Emmy nomination.
