If you've guessed Kalki 2898 AD was the most popular movie then congratulations you're right! Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan's film Kalki 2898 AD won the race of best year-ender 2024. Nag Ashwin's directorial Kalki 2898 AD is the IMDb most popular movie of 2024. Made with a budget of INR 600 Cr, this flick was a blockbuster and was the first to earn 1000 Cr globally this year. It's IMDb rating is 7 out of 10 given by more than 61K people.

As Kalki 2898 AD is shining bright on the top, there is also a film which fought hard to be on the top and that is Stree 2. Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao's Stree 2 is at number two. Followed by Tamil film featuring Vijay Sethupathi and Anurag Kashyap, Maharaja which is third most searched film on streaming today. At number four is Ajay Devgn and R. Madhavan Shaitaan followed by Hrithik Roshan's Fighter at fifth spot. The sixth position is taken by none other than Manjumeel Boys. Diwali release and one of the most popular horror-comedies Bhool Bhulaiya 3 is standing tall at 7th spot. 8th IMDb most popular Indian movie of 2024 is KILL featuring Lakshya, Raghav Juyal and Tanya Maniktala. Rohit Shetty's Diwali multi-starrer Singham Again is at number 9 and lastly, Kiran Rao's Laapata Ladies is also on the list.

How Does IMDb Select Winners?

IMDb has a fixed timeline from January 1 to November 25 in which they select the top-performing films based on customer ratings. In their post they wrote, "Of all the movies released in India between January 1 and November 25, 2024, that have an average IMDb user rating of 5 or higher, these 10 titles were consistently the most popular with IMDb users, as determined by the actual page views of the more than 250 million monthly visitors to IMDb worldwide."
