“Dono” not only serves as Avnish S Barjatya’s first film as a director, but it also serves as a platform to introduce new talents to the industry. The movie showcases the debut of Rajveer, the younger son of Sunny Deol, as well as Paloma Thakeria Dhillon, daughter of producer Ashok Thakeria and actress Poonam Dhillon. By blending new faces with established veterans, the film guarantees an appealing visual experience.
“Dono” is a collaborative effort between Rajshri Productions (P) Ltd. and Jio Studios, produced by Kamal Kumar Barjatya, the late Rajkumar Barjatya, Ajit Kumar Barjatya, and Jyoti Deshpande. The aim of the film is to evoke a sense of nostalgia and fond memories of Sooraj Barjatya’s directorial debut, the iconic movie “Maine Pyar Kiya,” which starred the popular pair Salman Khan and Bhagyashree. The choice of the film’s title, “Dono,” is deemed apt by the makers, perfectly aligning with the storyline.
