The biggest announcement of the year is finally here! Suriya 42 has been titled ‘Kanguva’. The first title reveal poster of the film was dropped on Sunday and showed an eagle with fire at the end of its wings.
SURIYA 42 TITLED KANGUVA
Kanguva is the title of Suriya’s 42nd film which has widely been anticipated by fans from across the world. Suriya took to his Instagram handle to share the motion poster of the film and captioned it, “Sheer joy working with Siva & Team on this mighty saga. Happy to share the title look of #kanguva.” The video features Suriya as a mighty soldier riding a horse. We then see an Eagle flying above the mountains and a dog standing near a cliff. Then a war-like setup is seen appearing on the screen, hinting at the grandeur of the project. All in all, Kanguva appears to be Suriya’s most ambitious project yet. ABOUT KANGUVA
Billed as a “nightly valiant saga”, Kanguva has been directed by filmmaker Siva. The film also features Disha Patani in a pivotal role. Music for the film has been composed by Devi Sri Prasad. Kanguva is set to release in 3D in 10 different languages in early 2024.
SURIYA’S BIGGEST FILM SO FAR
Producer Gnanvel Raja of Studio Green revealed that Suriya was kept unaware of the budget.
He said, “So, we hid the budget from him. However, he knows from seeing the sets. He understands that we are up to doing something big visually.”
“After seeing the motion poster of the film by the director, I understood that I am not producing a normal film. This film is made on a budget that’s thrice the amount of Suriya’s biggest film so far.”
