Swara Bhaskar, who gets involve in controversies about her outspoken statements, does not have any special friendship with Karan Johar. But in a recent interview, he has supported Karan Johar. In this interview, Swara also spoke openly about the boycott trend going on in Bollywood. He said that the filmmaker was attacked by a section of people after the death of Sushant Singh Rajput in 2020.
Swara said that criticizing Karan Johar for his films or promoting ‘nepotism’ in the film industry was one thing, but calling him a ‘killer’ after Sushant’s death was absolutely wrong. In a recent interview, Swara said that there is an ‘atmosphere of fear’ in Bollywood. Swara Bhaskar told Connect FM Canada in Hindi, “There is an atmosphere of fear. In the industry… the idea is not to get involved in controversy. There is a genuine belief in the industry that if there is a dispute, it is best not to get upset. Or you comment on it.”

Karan Johar is not a murderer

Swara said, “You may find Karan Johar’s film substandard, there may be problems with his nepotism. But your problem and your dislike does not mean that he is a murderer. It is not like that at all, he is not a murderer.”
