Telugu star Mahesh Babu has been tested positive for the novel coronavirus. On Thursday (January 6), the actor took to social media and informed his fans about his health. He shared that he has mild symptoms and is currently in home isolation.
The actor has requested people who met him recently to get tested and vaccinated by saying, “Request to all those who came in contact with me to get themselves tested. I urge everyone who’s not taken their vaccination to do so immediately, as it reduces the risk of severe symptoms and hospitalization. Please follow COVID norms and stay safe.” The ‘Pokiri’ actor ended the note on an encouraging note by saying, “Can’t wait to be back.”
Earlier today, actor and producer Lakshmi Manchu had also tweeted that she was tested Covid positive after playing hide and seek for two years, She even shared a couple of Instagram stories where she was seen in an isolation mode and eating healthy.
Fans and well-wishers too wished the both actors a speedy recovery. Telangana reported a major spike with 1913 positive infections, creating a panic all-over.

Last year in June, Mahesh Babu had conducted a vaccination drive through his foundation and Andhra Hospitals. The seven-day COVID-19 vaccination drive had completed in Burripalem, Andhra Pradesh. Mahesh’s wife, former actress Namrata Shirodkar took to Instagram to share some pictures of people getting their Covid-19 vaccination.
On the work front, Mahesh Babu’s next release will be Parasuram’s ‘Sarkaru Vaari Paata.
