Only a few days after the release of the movie’s teaser, the upcoming “Thank God” starring Ajay Devgn, Sidharth Malhotra, and Rakul Preet Singh has run into difficulties.
Case against the Director Indra Kumar
IANS reports that advocate Himanshu Srivastava has filed a case against the movie’s director Indra Kumar, actors Ajay Devgn and Sidhartha Malhotra, in a Jaunpur court. On November 18, a statement from the petitioner will be taken down.
The petitioner believes that the film’s trailer mocks religion and has offended religious sentiments, according to the IANS report.
In his plea, Srivastava said that Ajay Devgn, who is dressed in a suit and plays the role of Chitragupta, can be seen making jokes and using foul language in one scene.

Such representation of Gods might lead to an unpleasant situation since it offends religious emotions, according to the petition. “Chitragupta is considered as the Lord of Karma and keeps a record of a man’s good and negative conduct,” it added.
About the movie
In the movie, Ajay Devgn plays the role of the Hindu god Chitragupta, and Sidharth plays a regular guy whose deeds would be judged by Ajay’s character.
The god Chitragupta is tasked with keeping meticulous records of human deeds and paying them in accordance with their karma. Chitragupta determines whether a person goes to heaven or hell after death.
Rakul recently discussed the movie in an interview with Bollywood Hungama, saying, “It’s comedy and (has) a lot of heart. When I saw the movie a couple of weeks ago, I had the same impression that we had intended for the public to have (it). Even though it has nothing to do with that, it has that Munnabhai-(MBBS)-meets-Oh-My-God gap that melts your heart. I find it enjoyable, and I hope audiences will visit theatres to see it.
