The popular comedy reality show ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ has come to an end after some months. However, there are speculations that the show will return with a new season very soon and it ended because the team had to do a Tour abroad.
Hosted by Kapil Sharma, the show has a very special place in the audience’s heart. The finale episode of the show was attended by the team of The Night Manager. From Sobhita Dhulipala’s reason behind changing her house to Anil Kapoor thanking Shashi Kapoor for making his career, let’s take a look at the special moments we got in the finale episode.
Sobhita Dhulipala’s reason behind changing her house
When discussing Sobhita, Kapil discloses that she tossed a coin before traveling to Mumbai. Sobhita explained, “After 12th grade, it was between Mumbai and Bengaluru. Thus, I had to make up my mind where I wanted to go before I could convince my parents. Thus, I traveled to Mumbai.”
When Anil Kapoor’s clothing bill came more than Salman’s whole career clothing bill
When Kapil mentioned how smart and dapper Anil Kapoor looked in the series, he questioned, “You wore these stylish outfits, was this due to the script or you demanded these attires for the show?” Anil said, “It was my demand.” Kapil praised Anil and said, “You were indeed looking very dashing in the show.” Anil Kapoor then related a story regarding his wardrobe: “I worked with Salman Khan on a movie, and the cost for my clothes came in at a tremendous amount. Salman said, “I’ve never had a clothing bill this big in my entire career.” I said to him, “You look so handsome, you would look good in jeans and a T-shirt, but I need to wear good clothes to look good.”
Tillotama Shome revealed why she didn’t get work
When Kapil Sharma inquired about Tillotama’s experience of collaborating with Irrfan Khan in the Punjabi film Qissa, she affectionately expressed, “Working with him was always endearing. However, as a Bengali, I had to attend Punjabi classes for 9 months to master the heavy Punjabi accent, especially for words like Pappaji and Baalu, which almost took a toll on my health.”
Continuing the conversation, Kapil brought up a rumor he heard, asking if someone had told her that she wouldn’t get work due to her relatively low number of Instagram followers. Confirming the rumor, Tillotama replied, “Yes, my follower count was indeed low. They said that lacking followers on Instagram could hinder my career. I took it to heart, so I began posting a picture of a flower or a leaf every day, eventually amassing 4000 followers. Excited, I went back to the director and proudly mentioned my newfound follower count, but he responded with, ‘You still won’t get work.'”
‘People like it when actors act naturally’ – Ravi Bahl
When Kapil heads to Ravi Bahl, he discusses his hit program Boogie Woogie. Then he enquired, “From Narsimah to OTT, what are the major changes?” Ravi stated, “I don’t see any differences; I believe acting is acting, whether it be in OTT, films, or television. The audience’s expectation that actors will remain authentic, in my opinion, is a good thing. We used to go beyond in the past, which was okay, but now that viewers have watched enough TV across all languages, they like it when actors act naturally. The only change I can identify is that people now arrive on schedule.”
When Aditya Roy Kapur’s teacher believed that his career isn’t going good
Kapil inquired about Aditya’s joke about working as a manager at the hotel. Aditya said, “Many of them couldn’t recognize me, so I really created key cards and checked them in. I used to arrive two hours early to learn how the hotel operates. Even my former teacher recognised me there and said, “Aditya, you were an actor, na.” I responded by telling her that I was working this job because my acting career was failing. Unfortunately, she believed it as well.”
Anil Kapoor crediting Shashi Kapoor for his career
Anil Kapoor spoke on his friendship with Shashi Kapoor, saying, “I had done a play for the first time, and Shashi Kapoor was the chief guest for the play. The drama only had two characters, but Shashiji’s influence on my career has been enormous. He was the special guest, and I had so few lines in the play that I forgot what they were, but everyone thought I was great, so I won the Dilip Kumar award for that performance.”
