Thunivu trailer: The long-awaited trailer for Ajith Kumar’s Thunivu has arrived. Thunivu is, as expected, a heist thriller in which Ajith plays a bank robber. In the trailer, he holds a bank hostage and demands a large sum of money. In contrast to his prior roles, Ajith plays a grey character in the film. However, his attitude would remind fans of his Mankatha character Vinayak Mahadevan (2011).
Thunivu, directed by H Vinoth Kumar, also stars Manju Warrier, John Kokken, and Samuthirakani. The film is Vinoth and Ajith’s third collaboration, and based on the trailer, it appears that the filmmaker has kept his best for Thunivu. Ghibran composed the soundtrack for the film, and so far, the tracks “Chilla Chilla” and “Kasethan Kadavulada” have become chartbusters.
Valimai became blockbuster at the box office
Valimai, Ajith and Vinoth’s last endeavor, bombed at the box office and failed to impress both audiences and reviewers. While the previous production was developed for Ajith’s audience, the director stated in an interview with Indian Express that Thunivu will be a new film with Ajith playing a unique part.
Thunivu will clash with Vijay’s Varisu
On January 12, Thunivu will face Vijay’s Varisu ahead of Pongal 2023. This will be one of Kollywood’s biggest box office battles in a long time. Following the release of Thunivu, Ajith is slated to collaborate on a film with Vignesh Shivan. The project, however, has yet to be officially disclosed.
