Tunisha Sharma suicide case: After being arrested on allegations of abetment to suicide in the death of Tunisha Sharma, actor Sheezan Khan’s family released an official statement. Tunisha, Sheezan’s ex-girlfriend and co-star, was discovered dead on the set of her ongoing TV show Alibaba – Dastaan-e-Kabul on Saturday. After appearing in court on Sunday, Sheezan was detained in police custody for four days.

Sheezan’s family has now released a statement to the media. The statement stated, “Please respect our family’s privacy during this tough time if you’ve been trying to get in touch with us for a statement on the case. It’s unsettling to see media members continually calling us and even standing below our residences.”
The statement continued, “We have complete faith in the Indian legal system, and Sheezan is cooperating with the Mumbai police throughout the entire process. We will talk about this when the time is appropriate, but for now, please grant us the privacy which our family deserves right now”. Tunisha and Sheezan were cast in the current TV show Alibaba – Dastaan-e-Kabul. Tunisha played Shehzaadi Mariam in the show, while Sheezan played Ali Baba. It was shown on SAB TV.
Tunisha and Sheezan were in relationship
Tunisha and Sheezaan were previously reported to be in a relationship that had ended a few days earlier by news agency ANI. According to Mumbai police, she was stressed, which drove her to the edge. Sheezan was charged with abetment to suicide under Section 306 of the Indian Penal Code. On Sunday, Sheezan was escorted to the Vasai court.
