Tunisha Sharma, 20, was discovered dead on the set of her television show Ali Baba: Dastaan-e-Kabul on Saturday. The incident happened around 3.30pm in the makeup room of Sharma’s co-star and alleged boyfriend Sheezan M Khan.
Sheezan abetted Tunisha’s suicide, says actress’ mother
“We are taking Sheezan to the Vasai court,” says senior police inspector Kailas Barve of the Waliv police station in Maharashtra’s Vasai area, Palghar district. The postmortem report revealed nothing. While the media speculated about whether she was pregnant, no such information was revealed. Sheezan, according to her mother, provoked her to commit suicide. They had an affair, but he refused to marry her, which contributed to her depression. He (Sheezan) admitted to being in a relationship with her. They split up in November, but they are still together.
Parth Zutshi, Tunisha’s another co-star on the show, was also called by the police on Sunday for questioning regarding the alleged suicide. “I was called for questioning by police and was asked general questions. I can’t comment on her relations, I don’t have any idea, it was her internal matter,” he told the media. He said she was stressed but didn’t take any drugs.
