Uorfi Javed talks about harassment

While talking to Hindustan Times, Uorfi recalled everything and said, “They were joking about with me and saying things like ‘Yeh toh nangi rehti hai. arrey isne kapde pehne aaj.’ I maintained my composure since I didn’t want to ruffle the flight’s decorum. But when one of the guys from the exact group that was acting inappropriately with me asked for a selfie, I snapped. And I said, how dare you say that, it was you who was insulting me.”

She added, “Mujhe isse koi farak nahi padta. And I believe that, more than me, society should be affected by events in which men like this can tease females and mess with them and get away with it. Their excuse was that they were drunk. But if they’re drinking, I shouldn’t have to deal with the consequences. Uski saza kyu face karu main. They should not have been permitted to board the airplane in the first place if they were drunk.”

‘I am a soft target’ – Uorfi

Uorfi gets into these type of things continuously. Speaking about it, she said, “I am a soft target, kyunki mere aage peeche koi nahi hai. I have no ties to the Bollywood industry. In the film industry, I don’t have a godfather. That is the truth.  There are people who would be lovely to meet me, but they are not my friends. It’s also not their fault. They owe me nothing.”
