TV actress and internet sensation Uorfi Javed is known for her bold fashion choices and for speaking her mind on various issues. Recently, she expressed her opinion on girls’ safety, highlighting that it is often the people around them, including relatives, who commit heinous acts like rape.
Uorfi Javed talks about girls’ safety
During a podcast show hosted by Ranveer Allahabadia, Uorfi was asked if boys and girls are brought up differently. She responded, stating, “Yes, this is also because girls need to be protected from outsiders. But isn’t it strange that it is often the people around us, our own relatives, who commit such acts? And when a girl confides in her parents about being violated by a relative, they silence her.”
Uorfi went on to say ‘I think girls are easy to control. This has been going on since time immemorial, especially in the past, people used to say that the women and daughters of my house did not even step out of the house without my consent.’

The actress also opened up about the hardships she has faced in her personal life, including the severe abuse inflicted by her own father. Despite her traumatic experiences, Uorfi has chosen to live her life fearlessly and unapologetically. She has previously shared this dark aspect of her personal life with the public.
