Uorfi Javed talks about her clothes in police enquiry; says ‘I like to wear certain dress, It’s not a crime’

Uorfi Javed

Uorfi Javed admitted to the Mumbai Police that she preferred to dress a certain way and that doing so was not illegal. The statement followed a letter from Mumbai Police to Bigg Boss star regarding accusations from BJP politician and Maharashtra Mahila Morcha president Chitra Wagh for “engaging in nudity publicly on the roads of Mumbai.” Today, the social media sensation was summoned by the police to appear at Mumbai’s Amboli police station for questioning. A probe into the matter had been mandated by the police commissioner.

Uorfi Javed says she is an independent person

“I’m an independent individual who likes shooting and wearing a certain outfit. It is not a crime under the constitution. When I go out for these kind of shoots, paparazzi see me, follow me, take pictures of me, and the images become viral. I don’t make it popular,” Uorfi Javed informed police. Ten days ago, the BJP politician slammed Uorfi Javed for her fashion choices on Twitter and questioned whether the Women’s Commission would take any action or not.

Chitra Wagh filed case against the social media sensation

Uorfi Javed then approached the Maharashtra State Commission for Women in reaction to the BJP leader’s remarks. Chitra Wagh allegedly made disparaging comments against Uorfi Javed in the media. According to the social media influencer, these remarks make her a target for abuse. On Friday, Uorfi spoke with Chairwoman Rupali Chakankar at the Maharashtra State Commission for Women’s offices.
