Krishna G Rao: Veteran Kannada actor Krishna G Rao, popularly known for his role as the blind old man in the Yash-starrer KGF franchise, is no more. He passed away on December 7 in Bangalore. He was admitted to Vinayaka Hospital near Sita Circle, Bangalore, where he breathed his last.
Reports said Krishna passed away due to age-related illness. He was admitted to the ICU for a lung infection that he suffered during his visit to a relative’s house. He was rushed to the nearest medical facility at midnight after complaining of exhaustion.
Krishna played blind in KGF
Krishna played the titular character of a blind man in KGF before the fight scene where hero Yash crushes the villains of Narachi. His dialogue in KGF: Chapter 2, “Let me give you a piece of advice. Don’t go to stand in his way sir,” became very popular.
After the release of KGF: Chapter 1 in 2018, he featured in more than 30 films. Krishna G Rao did supporting role several years besides working as an assistant director for many decades, especially with late actor Shankar Nag.
Nano Narayanappa trailer
Recently, the trailer of his upcoming film Nano Narayanappa was also launched on YouTube. It showed him as a character with ten heads, like Raavan.
After the first and second parts, the KGF franchise also announced the third part. KGF 3 announcement created quite a buzz among movie buffs. There were reports that the sequel will go on the floors shortly but the makers have said that the shoot for the project is not expected to commence anytime soon.
