Ravindra Mahajani: The Marathi actor Ravindra Mahajani, whose body was discovered dead in his Talegaon home near Pune on Friday, is thought to have passed away three days earlier, a police officer said on Saturday. The veteran actor’s body would be given to the family for final rites after his autopsy, the officer added.
Neighbours Alert Authorities to Foul Odor, Leading to Discovery of Mahajani’s Body
After neighbours raised concerns about a bad smell coming from the residence, Mahajani was discovered dead in a locked unit at the Xrbia Housing Society in the Ambi neighbourhood of Talegaon Dabhade. According to senior police inspector Ranjit Sawant of the Talegaon MIDC police station, a police squad responded to citizen concerns and broke down the door of the flat to discover the body. According to Sawant, Mahajani passed away three days ago. He stated, We’ve spoken to his son in Mumbai and told him.

Mahajani performed in a number of Marathi films, including Kalat Nakalat, Zoonj, and Mumbai cha Fauzdar. According to the police, Gashmeer Mahajani, the actor’s son, had been calling his father but had not received a response. Hours before his body was discovered on Friday, Gashmeer requested a friend in Pune to go check on his father in Talegaon Dabhade. According to Gashmeer, his pal was going to see his father on Saturday.
