The Hindi version is heavily influenced by that legendary movie, but to the credit of directors Pushkar and Gayatri, it manages to stand well on its own, providing a compelling plot, great action, and a few gripping scenes. The electrifying BGM with aesthetic cinematography of Lucknow ensures the audience is hooked.

The movie revolves around
The Vikram-Betaal folktale served as a loose inspiration for Vikram Vedha. Here, Vedha (Hrithik Roshan) is a criminal who rules over Lucknow, while Vikram (Saif Ali Khan) is an officer in the Uttar Pradesh Police STF. Vikram meets Vedha three times throughout their game of cat and mouse. But each time, Vedha challenges him with a puzzle that makes him rethink what is good and wrong. Each of the solutions aids him in resolving a case he is presently working on. A variety of stylish fight scenes, action sequences, and a Hrithik dance routine surround this lovely and complex folk-inspired storyline.
As soon as the two main characters square up for the first time, the plot picks up speed. The best parts of the movie are always when Vikram and Vedha are conversing, not fighting or shooting, but simply exchanging words. Their chemistry is intense.
Perhaps there is something to be said about the dialogue being the best aspect of a masala action movie. Depending on your expectations for this movie, that might be good or negative.
Vijay Sethupathi vs Hrithik Roshan
Compared to Vijay Sethupathi’s Vedha, Hrithik Roshan has a different swagger and sense of style. This one is sometimes less imposing but also more fluid and less amateur. The bottom line is that it is distinctive enough to be enjoyed without reference to other things. His battle sequences are well choreographed and performed in style.

Strong characters of the supporting cast include Radhika Apte and Sharib Hashmi, the latter of whom was luckily cast in an unorthodox character that lets him show off his versatility.
Final Verdict:
Overall, it is a stylised, dramatic, and somewhat sanitised remake of a cult favourite. Due of its size, scope, and star power, it must be all of those things. Both as a thriller and a masala action movie, Vikram Vedha hooks up to the audience.
