Viral Video: Present at the most recent Filmfare awards in Gujarat, Ranbir Kapoor unleashed his ‘Animal’ character on director Karan Johar. The hosts of the show were Ayushmann Khurrana and Karan. In a widely shared video, Ranbir can be seen yelling at Karan while seated in the front row, seemingly mimicking his well-known line from ‘Animal’.
Exclusive Role for Ranbir
Karan may be seen in the video asking Ranbir for assistance. “Ranbir must help us (only Ranbir can do it),” he continues. “Ranbir hi kar sakta hai, Ranbir hi karega, Ranbir ko hi karna chahiye.” There’s only one Ranbir. It is only for Ranbir to do. Ranbir needs to assist us. “Sunayi de raha hai, behra nahi hoon main (I can listen, I am not deaf),” eventually exclaims an irate Ranbir.
Surprise Reactions from Karan and Ayushmann
Karan and Ayushmann are taken aback by Ranbir’s response. The ‘Animal‘ actor looked upset, but it felt like it was all part of the performance. For those who don’t know, Ranbir portrayed Ranvijay in his most recent movie, “Animal.” The director of the movie, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, focused on the nuanced relationship between a father and son. In significant roles were Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor, and Rashmika Mandanna.
Heartfelt Tribute to Rishi Kapoor
For the movie, Ranbir took home the Best Actor trophy. In his acceptance speech following his win, Ranbir paid tribute to his late father, Rishi Kapoor.
He said, “I’d like to dedicate this award to Mr Rishi Kapoor – Papa Meri Jaan. Every day I think of you, I remember you. And everything I feel for you, the love, the affection, I try to channelise through this part and I hope you are up there in peace and resting.”
Ranbir will next be seen in “Love and War,” directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Vicky Kaushal and Alia Bhatt will also play significant roles in the movie. In 2025, it will be released around Christmas.
