Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli welcomed their first child on January 11. The cricketer had taken to Instagram to share the much-anticipated announcement and asked people to respect their privacy. However, social media has been abuzz with fake pictures of their baby while paparazzi await outside the hospital to sneak a peek of the newborn.
Amid this, according to reports, the couple has beefed up security at the hospital in Mumbai where the baby was born. If reports are to be believed, the couple has even asked relatives and close friends from visiting the hospital. They have also denied from accepting gifts amid the fear of coronavirus and visitors in the nearby rooms are also not allowed to steal a glimpse of their newborn.
Considering their stardom, it is very hard to make a secure environment but the couple is ensuring complete safety of their baby girl from the public eye.
Meanwhile, earlier, announcing the birth of their child, Kohli had requested everybody to respect the couple’s privacy in the note. Taking to his social media handles, the cricketer wrote, ‘We are thrilled to share with you that we have been blessed with a baby girl this afternoon. We thank you all for your love, prayers, and good wishes. Anushka and the baby are both healthy and we are feeling beyond blessed to start this new chapter of our lives. We hope that you can respect our privacy at this time. Love, Virat.’
