The resurfaced video, originally from 2011, showcases her grace and determination in maintaining privacy while calling out the media’s intrusion.
Refusing to Indulge Rumors
During her appearance on the show “Aap Ki Adalaat,” the actress was asked about the infamous rumor of Shahid Kapoor opening the door during an IT raid at her residence. With a composed yet firm demeanor, Chopra clarified that it was her maid who answered the door. When prodded further, she delivered a powerful statement:
“I think the newspaper that wrote this came along with the raid officials. While we’re laughing about it now, this is very cheap talk. Any woman here will understand how I’m feeling.” She said.
Setting Boundaries, Demanding Respect
Chopra went on to highlight the problematic nature of publishing unverified rumors as news, solely for increased readership. She emphasized that she’s not just a public figure, but also a daughter and sister, deserving of respect and privacy.
