Joseph Gordon Levitt recently attended the Indian Film Project event in Mumbai. Hosted by Rajkummar Rao, Joseph expressed his desire to work in an Indian film. While talking about Indian films and culture, the actor revealed that he visited the country to observe its diverse culture. The actor said, “I’m loving the culture here and the genuine passion for movies and artists. I would love to come back to India and make a film here.” Actor Gordon-Levitt spoke highly of the cinema fanatics in the country and clearly said he will come back to make a film here. This shows the importance of authenticity and the cultural importance of a nation. However, he developed the desire to do so after watching a very important film of Bollywood, Gangubai Kathiawadi.

500 Days of Summer actor Joseph Gordon absolutely fell in love with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s cinematic brilliance. The actor couldn’t stop but praise Gangubai Kathiawadi film and Alia Bhatt’s performance in it. While talking to the Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video actor, Rajkummar Rao Joseph compared the film to Scorsese films. He said, “I absolutely loved watching Alia Bhatt’s period drama, Gangubai Kathiawadi. It was a truly unique and beautiful film, unlike anything I’ve seen before. The heavy, distinguished drama felt almost like a Scorsese film at times, but then there were these gorgeous musical numbers that were so sincere and well-crafted.” The American actor’s approval strengthened the position of Alia Bhatt’s acting and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s direction. However, it is not needed to prove the class Sanjay Bhansali and Alia brings to the screen. But, inspiring other nation’s actors to make an Indian film is a remarkable achievement.
