Several users took to the comment section of Kangana’s post and shared their views. Earlier, Sikh organizations from Punjab, Delhi, and other states called for a ban on Kangana Ranaut’s film. These groups allege that the movie misrepresents their community and distorts history. They have approached the CBFC and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, urging them to stop the film’s release.

The trailer for Emergency, lasting 2 minutes and 53 seconds, was released on August 14, 2024. The film focuses on the life of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, with Kangana Ranaut playing the iconic leader. The movie is written and directed by Kangana herself. Emergency delves into key moments of Indian political history, including the rise of the Khalistani movement and the Emergency of the 1970s.
