There have been rumours circulating since the premiere of Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva (2022) suggesting that Ranveer Singh might play Dev in the sequel starring Ayan Mukerji. According to some reports, the role would be portrayed by Kannada actor Yash or Hrithik Roshan. However, nothing had received official confirmation. But according to a News18 report, Ranveer has now approved of playing the highly anticipated role in the movie. At the conclusion of Brahmastra, Dev was presented as the adversary.
Ranveer Singh to play Dev in Brahmastra 2
The portal was informed by a source that Ranveer Singh has been cast as Dev. He’s put his signature on it. The film is scheduled to release in 2025, with the script for the second installment currently under development. Ayan is currently working on War 2, and this year, Ranveer will also start filming Baiju Bawra. Thus, it is still unknown when Brahmastra 2 will begin to take shape.
Ranveer will launch Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Baiju Bawra in mid-2024, if all goes according to plan. Although it was decided that Brahmastra 2’s filming would start in early 2025, there are now rumours that Don 3 will also start filming at roughly the same time. The source continued, “Ranveer will most likely aim for Don 3 before moving on to Brahmastra 2.”
Ranbir-Alia and Ranveer-Deepika to work together
Ranbir Kapoor–Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone, two Bollywood off-screen couples, will collaborate on a movie for the first time. In Brahmastra, Deepika plays Amrita, the mother of Ranbir Kapoor.
