Popular actor Karan Mehra, known for his work in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, been arrested after his wife & actor Nisha Rawal filed a complaint in Goregaon on Monday night, ANI reported. Reportedly, Nisha filed the complain after a brawl and subsequently a case was registered against the actor.
According to a Times of India, Karan will be produced before a magistrate court on June 1. The report also stated that on Monday, following a dispute, Karan allegedly pushed Nisha against the wall which led to some physical injuries sustained by Nisha.
Earlier, there have been rumours about Karan and Nisha’s marriage being in trouble. Speaking to Hindustan Times, Karan had said, “I was down with COVID and mourning my loved ones who passed away after contracting the virus. In the midst of this I had to exert myself and talk to the media. It was crazy. I was not in the frame of mind but had to set things straight. Nisha has been taking care of me through COVID”.
The couple had tied the knot in November 2012 after dating for a few years. They have been married for eight years and are parents to a four-year-old son, Kavish. The couple had also appeared together in Starplus’ reality show ‘Nach Baliye’.
