In a startling turn of events, popular YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav has been arrested by the Noida Police. The arrest comes in connection with an investigation into the alleged use of snake venom as a recreational drug at a party. Elvish Yadav, who gained fame after clinching the Bigg Boss OTT 2 title in 2023, was apprehended following accusations of involvement in the sale of snake venom at rave gatherings in the National Capital Region (NCR).
Confessions and Revelations
According to reports from NDTV, Elvish Yadav has confessed during interrogation to his role in arranging snakes and snake venom at rave parties organized by him. This admission comes as a significant revelation, especially considering Elvish’s earlier denial of involvement in the case. Furthermore, Elvish acknowledged his acquaintance with the other accused individuals previously arrested for supplying snake venom.
Details of Accomplices
The individuals arrested alongside Elvish Yadav, namely Rahul, Teetunath, Jaikaran, Narayan, and Ravinath, hail from Moharband village in southeast Delhi’s Badarpur. Although they have been released on bail, they were apprehended last year in connection with supplying snake venom.
Legal Proceedings and Charges
Elvish Yadav has been remanded to 14-day judicial custody following his arrest. The Noida Police, armed with substantial evidence, assert his involvement in the supply of snake venom. Notably, Elvish faces charges under the Wildlife (Protection) Act and Section 120 B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code.
