Your favorite comical life of Riverdale is getting a live-action touch in Indian style. Just moments ago, Netflix India dropped the film’s official trailer on YouTube which features all the vibrant characters of the film fused into the Indian culture.

One of the most anticipated OTT movies, ‘The Archies’ is set to arrive on Netflix this December. However, to get the gist of what you have been waiting for, you must have a look at the intriguing trailer. Recently, the makers of the film released the official trailer on YouTube. Your favorite characters – Archie Andrews, Betty Cooper, Jughead Jones, Veronica Lodge, Reggie Mantle, etc. appear in their all-new Indian avatars. Something you might have only imagined once has been done and dusted now.
The trailer depicts the fascinating tale of a group of teenagers who set out to change the attitude of their town toward things that matter. The leaders of the town are looking forward to a grand hotel project in place of one of the lush green parks. Not only this, big investors want to replace the old shops in the town with new buildings. It is the teens vs the town now and their zeal to protect the history of their childhood haven. Apart from this, it is packed with a jolly ride of laughter and happening musicals.

You must remember from your childhood days reading the short comic strips of Archies or even housing your own collection of comic books. The fascinating story of a group of friends from the famous town of Riverdale kept us glued throughout. Looking at its popularity, the makers decided to take it up a notch and transform it into an animated series. From there it went on to receive its very own live-action series and now finally, Netflix India has decided to come up with an Indian version of our favorite narrative.
