Corona is at its peak in the country, so in order to avoid the outbreak of this pandemic and to fight the next wave, it is necessary to accelerate vaccination.
But it is not possible that only one company can meet the vaccine requirements of a big country like India. In this case, it is not easy to meet the demand of the country until different companies enter the field of vaccine production.
Keeping this in mind, Covaxin, now manufactured by Bharat Biotech, will also be made by BIBCOL, a Bulandshahr-based company.
Every month, 10 million doses of drugs will be manufactured.
This was confirmed by Sandeep Kumar Lal, General Manager / Company Secretary, BIBCOL. He informed that one million doses will be produced here every month. Production will be started as soon as the order is received.
The Health Ministry has approved a budget of Rs 30 crore for this. The MoU has been signed between Bharat Biotech and Bibacol, a manufacturer of covaxine. So far, the Department of Biotechnology, India-based company BIBCOL (Bharat Immunologicals and Biologicals Corporation Limited) manufactures polio vaccine.
Bulandshahr DM Ravindra Kumar inspected the Bibcole authorized to make covaxine. He also reviewed the preparations for the manufacture of vaccine.
BIBCOL is located in Chola of Bulandshahr. BIBCOL is a public sector unit which was established in 1989. This was the dream project of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi through which he wanted to make the country polio vaccine and self-sufficient in supplies.
The Union Ministry of Health has approved for vaccine production.
According to the information, the Health Ministry has also allocated Rs 30 crore to make the vaccine. At the same time, the MoU has also been signed between Bharat Biotech and BIBCOL. After August, the vaccine production will start here. Two crore doses will be made here every month to save the entire country from Corona .
