New Delhi: India reports 41,831 new COVID-19 cases, 541 deaths and 39,258 recoveries in the last 24 hours; Recovery Rate currently at 97.36% .
Active cases have also increased for the fifth day. As on Saturday, there were 4,10,952 active cases, accounting for 1.30 per cent of the total infections. 1.65 lakh of these are in Kerala.
The daily positivity rate was recorded at 2.34 per cent while the weekly positivity rate stands at 2.42 per cent, as per health ministry data.
Yesterday, India recorded 41,649 fresh Covid cases. On July 30, the country logged 44,230 cases. On July 27, India had recorded less than 30,000 fresh Covid-19 cases (29,689) after 132 days. And thereafter, the daily coronavirus cases have continued to scale up.

A total of 4,24,351 deaths have been reported so far in the country, including 1,32,791 from Maharashtra, 36,562 from Karnataka, 34,076 from Tamil Nadu, 25,053 from Delhi, 22,756 from Uttar Pradesh, 18,136 from West Bengal and 16,293 from Punjab.

Jharkhand reported 36 fresh COVID-19 cases and 44 recoveries on Saturday, taking active cases to 252 and total recoveries to 3,41,793: State Health Department.
Meanwhile, the fourth phase of unlocking has started in Nagaland from today, with relaxation in Covid norms. The Odisha government has also eased Covid curbs despite a surge in Covid-19 cases. Weekend lockdown continued in Kerala and Uttar Pradesh.
