According to data from the health ministry, there were 5,335 more new Covid-19 infections in India on a single day, bringing the total number of active cases to 25,587. In the last 24 hours, 1,60, 742 samples that were tested for coronavirus in the last 24 hours.
During this week, there has been an increase in infections; as of Wednesday, 4,435 new coronavirus cases had been reported in the nation, bringing the total number of active cases to 23,091; 3,038 new cases had been reported on Tuesday.
With the additional cases, India’s total for COVID-19 increased to 4.47 crore (4,47,33,719). According to the government, the national Covid recovery rate was recorded at 98.75 percent, and the active cases currently make up 0.06 percent of all infections.
According to data from the home ministry, the Covid-19 vaccination has already been given in the nation 220,66,18,366 times.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 5,30,929 individuals passed away from the infection, whereas 4,41,82,538 patients have recovered from the disease.
Delhi, Mahrashtra Report Over 500 Cases
On Wednesday, Delhi reported 509 new Covid-19 cases, 424 recoveries, and a positivity rate that exceeded 25% to reach 26.54 percent. The total number of active cases increased to 1,795 as a result.
The number of active coronavirus cases increased to 3,874 after 569 new cases and 2 deaths were recorded in Maharashtra.
