India logged in 44,376 more cases of covid-19 in last 24-hour, taking nation’s total caseload to 92,22,216. The country’s death toll has soared high to 134,743 with 480 more virus related deaths in the last 24-hour.
As n of now, there are there are 4,44,746 total cases of covid-19 in the country. Meanwhile, the recoveries have crossed 86,42,771 with 37,816 fresh discharges in last 24-hour.
The recovery rate in the country currently stands at 93.72 per cent while the fatality rate is at 1.46 per cent.
Delhi continued its high spike in reporting covid-19 cases and recorded 6,224 fresh covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours. With 109 more people dying due to the virus, the city’s total death toll mounted to 8,621.
Maharashtra logged in 5,439 new Covid-19 cases, 4,086 recoveries, and 30 deaths, said state health department (ANI)
The top five worst-hit states by the pandemic are –Maharashtra 17,89,800, Karnataka 876,425, Andhra Pradesh 863,000, Tamil Nadu 773,176 and Kerala 571,000.

- Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan informed Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday that a total of 1.24 lakh new beds were added to 1,426 hospitals in the state.
Meanwhile, the overall number of global coronavirus cases has now past the 59.6 million mark. The deaths have surged to more than 1.40 million, according to the Johns Hopkins University.
