India reported 45,231 new cases of covid-19 and 470 fatalities in the last 24-hour, as per the latest update by the Union health ministry. Total active cases in the country currently stand at 5,70,458 while recoveries have reached 74,91,513.
With the fresh new additions, India’s total cases surge to 82,29,313 while death toll has mounted to 1,22,607.
Total 11,07,43,103 samples tested for Covid-19 up to 1st November. Of these, 8,55,800 samples were tested yesterday: Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR)

*World Health Organization Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus informed on Sunday that he had been in contact of someone who tested positive for COVID-19. Therefore, he will be under quarantine for next 14-days.
*Russia registered a record daily increase of 18,665 COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours, the country’s COVID-19 response center said.
Meanwhile, the overall number of global coronavirus cases has topped 46.4 million, while the deaths have surged to more than 1,199,500, according to the Johns Hopkins University.
As of Monday morning, the total caseload and death toll stood at 46,420,940 and 1,199,501.
