Anyone can have an earache. When you have an earache, your mind is not very stable and you become restless. Sometimes the pain increases extensively that you can’t even sleep peacefully.
Although earache is caused by infection, which can be treated with antibiotics. But in most cases, this pain can be a result of cold, dust, water coming out of the ear, etc.
If this type of problem is not too serious, then instead of taking medicines, you can try home remedies. Ear pain can be cured to a great extent by home remedies.
Earache can be reduced to a great extent by ice or heat compress. For this, squeeze a cotton cloth soaked in warm water and place it on your ear and the surrounding area. Another way is that you can use cold water instead of hot water. Keep in mind that water should not enter the ear.
Massaging the area near the ear with essential oil helps in increasing blood circulation. For this, you can use lavender, eucalyptus, thyme or chamomile oil. Applying a few drops of oil on the neck, jaw and cheeks and massaging with downward pressure will provide a great benefit.
Many people have pain in the Eustachian tube of the ear. This tube is attached to the nose. Therefore, taking steam by adding a few drops of essential oil to hot water provides great relief in earache. For this, take hot water in a large bowl and add 3-5 drops of eucalyptus or lavender oil to it and inhale the steam. While taking steam, cover your head properly with a towel.
Due to the anti-inflammatory properties of garlic, it can be used to relieve earache. For this, grind a bud of garlic and wrap it in a cotton ball and make a circular shape. Now keep it inside your ear. Take care that it does not go much inside the ear.
