Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan said that 46,000 new corona infections were identified in the country in the last 24 hours, out of which 58 percent cases were reported in Kerala only. Rest of the states are still witnessing a decline.

He told that there are more than one lakh active patients in Kerala. Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh have 10,000 to 1 lakh active cases. In comparison to the total active patients in the country, there are 51 percent active patients in Kerala, 16 percent in Maharashtra and three to four percent in the remaining three states.
