It may seem like something out of science fiction, but for those who are afflicted with the brain worm—a parasitic illness that is more widespread than you may imagine—this is a terrible reality.

This sneaky intruder can cause seizures, memory loss, and even death if treatment is not received. We’ll go into the dangerous realm of brain worms in this post, discussing the bad effects, ways to avoid them, and ways to cure them so that your brain is protected from this dangerous parasite.

Brain Worms Causes

Brain worms are a very serious issue for your brain and cabbage is considered the main source of brain worms. In India, the most common infective cause of seizures in children is Neurocystic Sarcosis. This worm and its eggs are found in the soil. In this worm, all the vegetables that grow in the soil can get stuck to the eggs. We eat and ingest these vegetables. These vegetables travel through blood vessels. From the blood vessels, the worms can get into the lungs, liver, brain, eyes and muscles. These worms can get swollen and give symptoms. When the worms go into the brain, the brain swells and causes seizures.

Brain Worms Treatment

There is a treatment for this. All the vegetables that grow in the soil, like cabbage, potatoes, etc should be washed and eaten. Cabbage causes brain worms because it has many layers. It is difficult to clean all the layers. So, the eggs get stuck to the cabbage. But if you boil the cabbage and eat it, the eggs die. Either boil or clean the vegetables properly, before eating them. It is important to clean the cabbage layer by layer before you consume it.
