Paralysis Attack: Causes, impacts and vital role of THIS Vitamin in nervous system health

Paralysis

Paralysis Attack: Paralysis is a health condition and it occurs when a person cannot move certain parts of his body. Humans go through this condition when there is some disturbance in the messages coming between the brain and those parts of the body. Paralysis can be caused by an injury, such as an accident, or by any chronic disease.

If a person is suffering from paralysis, he is not able to walk, use his arms or do other things. They require special aids and equipment to perform daily tasks. Everyone knows about paralysis but do you know about its causes? Why does paralysis strike suddenly? Paralysis is a disorder of the nervous system that has many causes, including certain vitamin deficiencies.

Vitamin B12 is a necessity to keep nervous system healthy

Vitamin B12 is very important for our body. If you do not have enough Vitamin B12, it can lead to paralysis. Your body’s nervous system acts as a messaging system that sends signals from your brain to your muscles. Vitamin B12 proves to be extremely beneficial for keeping this messaging system healthy. But if you don’t consume enough vitamin B12, the messaging system can be impaired so that signals from your brain don’t reach your muscles properly, and this can lead to paralysis.

Other causes of Paralysis

Injury

If someone is badly injured in a car accident or falling from a height, he may get paralysis.

Stroke

Sometimes a situation arises when the blood does not reach the brain, due to which many problems arise and the body parts stop working.

Disease

Many types of diseases like multiple sclerosis or Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) affect our nervous system due to which the body parts stop working.

Nerve Damage

If the nerves that send messages from the brain to the body get hurt or damage, like from diabetes or an accident, it can cause paralysis.
