Around 1200 patients are coming in every day with such cases which is very high as compared to previously recorded counts.” Doctor Ajay further added that nothing can be said for certain until we get more details on the matter. When asked about the prevailing symptoms he said, “We are lacking in details so nothing can be said for certain. According to the reports, common respiratory symptoms can be seen such as shortness of breath, coughing, etc.”
What is India’s stance against Pneumonia and respiratory challenges?
When asked about the potential dangers in India concerning the situation in China, Doctor Ajay said, “As of now India is not facing any danger as such… The patient count of children even amid rising pollution is being maintained to 12-15 on a daily basis, out of which only 3-4 are children suffering from respiratory ailments… If any such case is reported in India we would have to take the necessary precautions and follow the guidelines issued by the health ministry.”
